Before posting anything i had to do some homework first.
There was a coat that the british royal navy gave fame to, The Duffle Coat. Field Marshal Montgomery was known for wearing the unknown coat. Large stocks of post-war military surplus coats were available at reasonable prices to the general public meant that these coats were everywhere (ubiquitous)and a popular item of clothing in the 1950s and 1960s.
Another Navy design coat that gained popularity among the general public is the Pea Coat. Duffle coats are mostly known for their warmth, class, and design. These coats will always be in.
This a toggle coat that i would admire for the winter. It isnt exactly like a duffle coat, but is very similar.
